Like every Donatella Versace designs signature, the new Versace Resort 2014 collection goes sexy, bold, daring, and flirty, giving us all of the season’s go-to silhouettes and detailing with the fashion house’s sultry spin. This time, standing out in an array of refreshing summer hues, pumped up colors to showcase a striking spectrum, the collection focuses in favor of sexy short dresses, bold cropped tops, high slit skirts, modern jackets and even cute swimsuits.
With bold cutouts, punky aggression and spiked sex appeal, striking contrasts proportion-wise and plenty of sheer accents, the looks from the collection seriously tests fashionitas’ comfort zone. There’s also a decidedly nautical influence here that comes through in pieces like a blue-and-white-striped sweater and a number of jackets that have double rows of Versace’s iconic Medusa-head buttons. Celebs will most likely wear any of the collection’s body-hugging numbers on the red carpet, but a cutout LBD and sequin keyhole dress are the most fitting for special occasions.
