Looking through colors, prints, and designs, the new collection of Stella McCartney Resort 2016 captures the mood of urban summer party perfectly. With the inspiration of a Cuban-themed, tropical paradise evoking this optimistic, vivacious and energetic collection, Stella proposes several bold pieces, ideal for summer in the city, highlighted by the appearance of ankle-grazing flowy trapeze dresses, along with the shirtdresses – both long and short – with the front of the skirt gathered together like a head wrap.

In contrast to the florals prints, bright citrusy shades, Empire-waisted, tunic dresses and the flowy gowns, Stella combines the sweetness with a lean and tailored silhouette of oversize seventies-style pantsuits and jumpsuits in slim cuts, along with Japanese-style baseball jackets and several simple sleeveless A-line dresses. Not to mention, there are also a running horse motif that can be seen in shades of pink, black and ivory, while broderie anglaise takes over voluminous skirts and embroidered trims.

The collection is versatile yet super feminine and breezy that can be adapted to every modern woman’s life, whether it be exploring the Greek islands, or jet-setting around the world’s fashion capitals. Aside from a set of airy trapeze dresses that was particularly charming – done in black, white, and citrusy hues, while simple ruched necklines comes with spaghetti straps and lightly frilled edges at the hem, there are also little black and white shirt dresses embroidered in fresh floral prints, and ensembles with geometric cut-outs that provide the perfect mix between modernity, glamour, and femininity. As for evening wear, it goes in a more delicate direction with free form maxi dresses in vibrant hues.
